Learning Unlimited Academic — Eighteen Years of International Education Excellence
Learning Unlimited Academic (LU.ORG) is an international education institution established in Shenzhen in 2008. For eighteen consecutive years, we have served students, families, schools and government partners across Greater China, the United Kingdom, North America and South-East Asia, providing curriculum tuition, examiner-led test preparation, official examination services, school-to-school partnerships, and one-to-one university admissions guidance.
Our mission is straightforward: to make the very best of international academic preparation accessible, structured and outcome-driven for every student we admit. We do this through a faculty drawn from Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, LSE, the Ivy League and senior examining boards (Pearson Edexcel, Cambridge International, the IB Organization, the College Board, ETS, IDP and LAMDA); through a curriculum framework that mirrors the syllabuses of the world's top universities; and through a service model built on rigorous one-to-one teaching, transparent progress reporting and long-term mentoring.
From a child taking their first formal English class to a sixth-form student preparing for a Cambridge interview, our programmes are designed for serious learners who intend to compete for places at the world's most selective universities.
To deliver, with academic integrity and personal attention, the curriculum, examination and admissions preparation that empowers every Learning Unlimited Academic student to access — and succeed at — the world's leading universities.
Vision
An education ecosystem in which any committed learner, regardless of where they begin, can be supported by a faculty equal to that of any selective school in the world, and progress along a clearly mapped pathway from foundation studies to the lecture theatres of Oxbridge, the Ivy League and the global G5.
Academic Rigour
Every syllabus we teach is aligned to the published specifications of Pearson Edexcel, Cambridge International, the IB Organization and the College Board, and every lesson is benchmarked against the standards of leading UK independent schools.
Personalisation
We do not run mass classes. Every student is paired with a dedicated subject tutor and an academic mentor, and every learning plan is written, monitored and revised against measurable subject targets.
Integrity
We refuse practices that compromise the integrity of an application — ghost-written personal statements, fabricated research, undisclosed external help on graded coursework. Long-term outcomes are built on real work, honestly produced.
Pastoral Care
Academic outcomes matter, but so do the wellbeing, motivation and intellectual curiosity of the student behind them. Pastoral oversight is embedded into every long programme we operate.

Our Approach to Teaching & Learning
One-to-One Tuition
Every taught hour at Learning Unlimited Academic is delivered one-to-one. We have found, after eighteen years of practice, that one-to-one is the only modality that allows a tutor to diagnose misunderstanding accurately, sequence content precisely to the student's current ability, and demand the standard of work expected at a competitive university.
Examiner-Led Teaching
Many of our senior tutors are also serving or retired examiners with Pearson Edexcel, Cambridge International, AQA, OCR, the IBO and the College Board. They write the rubrics that grade your child's papers. Their guidance is, by definition, on-specification.
Diagnostic Onboarding
Every new student completes a structured diagnostic — academic baseline test, English-language profile, learning-style interview and family consultation — before a single lesson is timetabled. The output is an individual study plan signed off by an academic director.
Transparent Reporting
Parents receive structured lesson reports after every session and a written term review every twelve weeks. Reports show topic-by-topic progress, mock-exam performance against UMS grade boundaries, and concrete next-step actions.
Faculty Quality Assurance
Every tutor is interviewed, background-checked, observed teaching, and reviewed each term against student outcomes and parent feedback. Our internal acceptance rate for tutor applications is below 6%.
Hybrid Delivery
Programmes are available fully online, in-person at our centres, or in hybrid format. Online lessons are delivered on a purpose-built classroom platform with shared whiteboard, recorded playback and resource library.
Our Programmes
English Language Foundations
A multi-stage English programme mirroring the UK national curriculum, designed for learners aged 6–16 preparing to enter international schools or transition to IGCSE/A-Level. Builds reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar and academic vocabulary in measured stages.
A-Level
The UK gold-standard pre-university qualification, accepted by Oxbridge, Imperial, LSE, UCL and virtually every English-medium university worldwide. We teach 30+ A-Level subjects across the Pearson Edexcel, Cambridge International, AQA and OCR boards.
IGCSE
The internationally recognised middle-school qualification, recognised in 150+ countries and used by elite UK independent schools as the foundation for A-Level. Strong IGCSE results are a leading indicator for Oxbridge admission.
International Baccalaureate (IB)
The IB Diploma is recognised by every major university worldwide. Our IB faculty includes IB-trained subject specialists and Extended Essay supervisors, and we offer support across the full IB hexagon — Group 1 through Group 6, plus TOK, EE and CAS.
Advanced Placement (AP)
39 AP subjects across seven College Board disciplines. AP scores can earn college credit at 90% of US universities and are recognised in 60+ countries. We coach for both score and content mastery — critical for US engineering, sciences and economics applications.
ACT
Following the 2025 redesign, the ACT is shorter (≈ 2 hours core) with Science as an optional section. We prepare students for both the digital and the paper-based formats, with full-length proctored mocks and section-by-section diagnostics.
SAT (Digital)
The Digital SAT — section-adaptive, delivered on the Bluebook platform — is now the standard worldwide. Our SAT programme combines content review, adaptive-strategy training and timed Bluebook simulations on College Board's official platform.
TOEFL iBT
Following the 2023 ETS redesign the TOEFL is a ≈ 2-hour test, with a streamlined reading and writing structure and the new Writing for an Academic Discussion task. Our preparation is delivered by experienced ETS-aligned tutors.
IELTS Academic
IELTS Academic is the most widely recognised English-language test for university entry in the UK, Australia and Canada. Our IELTS faculty includes serving British Council and IDP examiners; we run preparation for Paper-based, Computer-delivered and IELTS Online formats.
Oxbridge & G5 Admissions
End-to-end preparation for the most selective UK universities: subject choice and IGCSE strategy from Year 9; personal-statement supervision; admissions-test coaching (TMUA, ESAT, MAT, PAT, LNAT, TSA); mock interviews with Oxbridge-graduate tutors.
US Ivy League & Top-30 Admissions
Holistic admissions support for US-track students: course planning, SAT/ACT/AP strategy, summer-school selection, common-app and supplemental essay supervision, interview coaching, and faculty-led research mentoring for STEM and humanities applicants.
