UK–China School Partnerships

Practice Overview

Learning Unlimited Academic's Partnerships practice specialises in installing British and other internationally recognised curricula inside Chinese institutions. We act as curriculum installation and operating partner: we bring the established curricula of Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), Pearson Edexcel, the IB Organization and the College Board into partner schools through pathways that comply with Chinese educational regulation; and beyond compliance, we take long-term responsibility for faculty recruitment, teacher training, platform operation and quality assurance.

Over eighteen years we have built long-running cooperative relationships with public senior schools, international schools, international divisions, applied-higher-education institutions and vocational institutes across a dozen Chinese provinces — delivering full-cycle solutions from top-line curriculum design and teacher recruitment to day-to-day teaching supervision, examination-centre services and overseas-admissions integration.

Core Services

International curriculum installation: for Chinese senior schools and international divisions we install Pearson Edexcel, Cambridge International, IB and AP curricula, with full curriculum-design support and teacher-training programmes.

Higher and vocational education partnerships: covering 1+3, 2+2, 3+0, 3+1 and 4+0 articulation models, with proven case studies, enabling institutions to construct sustainable UK–China credit-recognition channels.

Foreign-faculty recruitment and training: licensed foreign-teacher recruitment, foreign-faculty compliance advisory, and systematic pedagogical training for joint Chinese-foreign teaching teams.

Digital-teaching solutions: live online classrooms, a learning-management system (LMS) and an online examination system enabling hybrid teaching and remote assessment.

Examination-centre setup: assistance establishing in-school IGCSE / A-Level / IB examination-registration channels and aligning with Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge official authorisation processes.

Overseas-admissions integration: students of partner institutions are eligible to access Learning Unlimited Academic's admissions practice at preferential standardised rates.

Why Schools Work With Us

A senior bilingual team. Our core partnership team has more than a decade of hands-on experience operationalising UK–China education projects, with practical knowledge of the requirements of the Ministry of Education, SAFEA and partner institutions.

Verifiable external resources. We maintain long-running working relationships with Chinese and overseas education authorities, CEAIE, the Boarding Schools' Association (BSA), and the major examining boards, providing partner institutions with documentable external support.

Systematic delivery. From top-line curriculum design and licensing advisory to faculty recruitment and operational quality control, we deliver a single integrated solution — so partner institutions do not have to assemble services from a patchwork of suppliers.

Real faculty. Every foreign teacher we introduce has been credential-checked, teacher-qualification-verified and observed teaching. We do not accept unverifiable "named-only" staff.

Partnership Models

Senior-school curriculum partnerships. For public-school international divisions, independent international schools and private senior schools we install full IGCSE / A-Level or IB / AP programmes, building a three-year academic and admissions pathway from Grade 10 to Grade 12.

Higher-education cooperative projects. For Chinese undergraduate institutions we design 2+2, 3+1 and 4+0 UK / US credit-recognition projects across business, engineering, the humanities and the arts.

Vocational-education cooperation. For vocational colleges, applied bachelor's institutions and trade schools we introduce UK NCFE-style vocational qualifications and construct international course modules consistent with Chinese vocational-education syllabuses.

In-school international centres. We establish a dedicated international curriculum centre inside a partner institution, with its own faculty, teaching space and admissions-planning service line.

Flagship Projects & Frameworks

University of London China: UoL credit-recognition project integration.

NCFE vocational-education partnership: integration of UK NCFE vocational-qualification frameworks for higher-vocational and applied-bachelor's institutions.

Rugby School partnership: senior-school UK–China cooperative project integration.

Boarding Schools' Association (BSA) China representation: long-running placement and information service for Chinese families and institutions accessing UK boarding schools.

CEAIE Teach in China: as official UK delivery partner, we recruit dozens of licensed British and North-American teachers each year for placement in Chinese public secondary schools.

Partnership Process

Stage 1 — Needs assessment (2–4 weeks). Two to three in-depth meetings between our senior partnership counsel and the institution's leadership team, to define partnership objectives, target student population, intake size, compliance perimeter and timeline.

Stage 2 — Solution design (4–8 weeks). Production of a written Partnership Proposal covering curriculum recommendation, recruitment pathway, faculty plan, building/space recommendations, examination-registration channel and a teaching-technology deployment plan.

Stage 3 — Agreement signature and resource preparation (4–12 weeks). Both parties sign the partnership agreement; in parallel we begin foreign-faculty recruitment, teacher training, LMS deployment and the examination-centre application.

Stage 4 — Operations. A Learning Unlimited Academic resident academic director supervises day-to-day teaching across the partnership term, and submits a written Teaching Quality Report to the partner institution each semester.
